2024 Weekend Summer Course

HunterPrep hosts an annual summer course for Hunter exam preparation. Your student will gain a fundamental understanding of all Hunter exam topics and learn essential test-taking strategies for this challenging exam.

Who are the instructors?
Our lead instructor, Lila Schisgal, is a distinguished graduate of Hunter who was a top student at the school. She has led HunterPrep’s group course for the past 4 years and boasts a stellar track record of admitting her students into Hunter. Our essay evaluators are a group of Hunter alumni who are well-seasoned writers themselves, many having been recognized with Scholastic Writing Awards for their expositions. They are current students at UPenn, Cornell, BC, Macalester, and other top universities.
Our course offers:
- Weekly 4-hour sessions with 2-hour mock test + comprehensive 2-hour review
- Full coverage of Hunter exam topics
- Instruction by top-honored Hunter graduates
- Graded writing assignments with weekly feedback
- 8 rigorous mock exams + extra day for exam-taking strategies and tips

Our weekend group course is our most popular and historically successful test prep program. Current 5th or 6th graders are welcome to enroll, with preference given to 6th graders.

What’s the difference between the Saturday and Sunday course?
Consecutive Saturday and Sunday sessions will administer the same exam and review the same content. Our Sunday course begins later to accommodate those who would like to begin prep later. You may consider supplementing the shorter Sunday course with our Winter Crash Course (dates TBA).

January Crash Course

HunterPrep holds an annual crash course to prepare students for the HCHS Entrance Exam. Our group courses are our most popular and historically successful test prep options. Current 5th or 6th graders are welcome to enroll, with preference given to 6th graders.
Who is the instructor?
